Yintai Foundation Group’s Beijing Yintai Centre officially received WELL Building Standard certification from International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) on July 5.
Located strategically in Beijing’s central business district (CBD), Beijing Yintai Centre is a large complex comprising Super-A office buildings, high-end retail, a luxury hotel and high-grade residences. Above ground, more than 50 bus routes ply within 400 meters of the complex. Underground, subway Lines 1 and 10 offer seamless connection to the Centre, and subterranean walkways provide access to numerous core commercial buildings within the CBD. It is one of the first landmark complexes in the CBD.
In recent years, Beijing Yintai Centre has achieved numerous successes in green energy. Following its receipt of the LEED-Existing Building Operations and Maintenance (EB O+M) v4 Platinum certification in 2017, this sole “7-Star Building” in the CBD received the higher LEED-EB O+M v4.1 Platinum certification in 2022. Putting its green building responsibility and accountability into practice, Beijing Yintai Centre’s car park received official Parksmart certification from Green Business Certification Inc., in 2020.
Beijing Yintai Centre has always held green, low-carbon and health as its development goals. Low-carbon development, now a part of China’s national strategy, has become a new development trend for office buildings. As a super-A class office building simultaneously certified by two international standards at the highest level, Beijing Yintai Centre will continue to serve key corporate tenants at ever higher standards. It will leverage “soft” environment elements to help boost the “hard” development aspects of its buildings to continue to make new contributions to promote green development practices.
